Iridium Series Catalytic Gas Infra-Red Ovens
Iridium series catalytic gas infra-red ovens and systems are versatile and efficient, used in various industries, including:
- Paint and powder curing
- Thermoplastics
- Offshore drilling rigs
- Petroleum refineries
How They Work
Iridium infra-red heaters are explosion-proof, long-wave infra-red emitters that convert natural gas or LPG into infrared energy through a catalyst pad. This method is highly efficient for heating organic compounds. Products like paint and powder absorb more long-wave infra-red energy, drying faster and more efficiently than with short-wave energy.
Advantages
- Efficiency- Iridium ovens can dry any product, whether it's made of 10 mm steel or 1 mm plastic, usually twice as fast and at half the cost of convection systems.
- Cost-Effective- The new Iridium Bumper Batch oven, used in the automotive industry, operates at under $2 per hour (gas & electricity) and can cure up to 12 parts per hour.
- Customization- Iridium infra-red ovens and systems are custom-built to your requirements and can be used in Zone 1 hazardous areas.
Applications
- Paint drying
- Powder curing
- Workshop heating
- Anti-freezing of industrial gas lines
- Pet food drying
- And many more applications
